Israel officially rejects BoP 15-point plan for Gaza's reconstruction, Netanyahu announces

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu officially rejected the 15-point plan for Gaza's reconstruction proposed by the Board of Peace on Sunday. According to Netanyahu, Israel will not withdraw its forces from Gaza until Hamas is fully disarmed. He also reiterated his stance against the establishment of a Palestinian state, affirming that he has no intention of allowing either Fatahstan or Hamastan to emerge.

Netanyahu stated that Israel is currently in discussions with the US regarding Hamas' disarmament, but emphasized the necessity of genuine disarmament, not superficial measures. He stressed that disarming Hamas would mean removing all weapons, heavy and otherwise. Additionally, Netanyahu addressed recent Israeli military activity in Lebanon, highlighting the elimination of terrorists in the Ali Taher Ridge.

Regarding Iran, Netanyahu claimed that Iran is deterred from attacking Israel due to Israel's formidable response capabilities. He also praised US President Donald Trump and the alliance between Israel and the US against Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons. Earlier in the day, it was reported that Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz had approved plans for new development and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, specifically east of Rafah within the Yellow Line.

The construction would aim to provide homes for Palestinians outside Hamas' control, with the workers being Gazan Palestinians undergoing background checks. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich expressed support for Netanyahu's statements, emphasizing the war's objective of completely eradicating Hamas both militarily and as a governing authority, with no tolerance for Hamas' return to Gaza.
