Infantino’s era is over, says La Liga boss as pressure mounts on Fifa

La Liga president Javier Tebas has declared that Gianni Infantino's time as Fifa president has come to an end, according to PA Media/dpa. Tebas asserts that Infantino is "destroying the very essence" of football, stating that his projects are harming the national leagues. The Uefa and Football Association presidents have also called for Infantino's resignation following his failed attempt to seek private investment in a company to manage Fifa's competitions and sell World Cup stakes to private investors.

Infantino subsequently apologized for the poorly developed plan to sell World Cup shares. Tebas believes Infantino's management style has been detrimental for a long time and that his tenure should end. He acknowledges that the problem extends beyond Infantino and calls for a comprehensive overhaul of football's governance system.
