The competition, now in its fourth season, has produced thrilling encounters, with several matches decided by narrow margins, including six settled via penalty shootouts and five by a single goal. Despite the high-scoring nature of the tournament, teams have had little room for error, leading to memorable performances such as Somolu Bariga FC's dramatic comeback against Cityfut Escola and Vinmo Energy FC's hat-trick heroics in their 5-1 win.

As the qualifiers progress, key second-round fixtures are set to take place, including clashes between Ighalo FA and Arich FC, OOA FA and Daja United, and Vinmo Energy FC and Ajuwa FA. With 24 teams advancing to the main stage, the tournament continues to serve as a pathway for emerging talents, with over 30 players from previous editions securing professional contracts in Nigeria and abroad.
