In a candid interview on Stellar's Something To Talk About podcast, the 22-year-old recounted being photographed by paparazzi shortly after the heartbreaking loss of his 13-year-old pet chicken, Piggy.

Visibly emotional during the broadcast, Irwin admitted that the cameras captured his somber reaction to Piggy's demise, but media outlets hastily spun the images into baseless claims of internal family strife. Frustrated by the sensationalism, Irwin implored commentators to refrain from prying into his personal grief, emphasizing that the media frequently fabricates drama around his mother when, in truth, he was merely mourning the loss of his beloved pet.

The young star also addressed the incessant public interest in his romantic life, jokingly suggesting that walking alongside any female under 30 invariably triggers baseless engagement rumours. Instead of allowing such intrusion to bother him, Irwin sees these spotlight moments as an opportunity to redirect public attention towards meaningful conservation efforts, like the significant achievements at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital.

Looking ahead, Irwin is set to make history as the youngest-ever host of the upcoming Logie Awards on August 16, and he has encouraged fans to vote for his co-host, Julia Morris, in recognition of her five nominations.
