I mistakenly followed another woman, man announces end of marriage

Nigerian man Ebikedoumene Bonny Jeff has announced the end of his marriage of five years, attributing the decision to years of unresolved marital conflicts and hurt. Jeff and his wife, Yinlayefa, first met in 2008 and started a family in 2011. Jeff described his wife as a supportive partner who stood by him during financial difficulties.

After Jeff pursued higher education, his wife supported the family and later found employment at the Federal University, Otuoke. They married in August 2021, but their marriage was short-lived due to the death of their child shortly after the wedding. Jeff said that the loss, along with unresolved issues from their earlier years, significantly strained their relationship.

He also admitted to mistakenly following another woman on social media, an incident which his wife found difficult to forgive. The unresolved grievances between them eventually led to prolonged conflicts and emotional distance. Despite the painful end of their marriage, Jeff acknowledged his wife's sacrifices and expressed his hope for her well-being.
