Hunter Biden disclosed his father Joe Biden's worsening health after being diagnosed with prostate cancer that had spread to his bones. The former president announced his prostate cancer diagnosis in May 2025, stating that the disease had already metastasized to his bones. Joe Biden began radiation and hormone therapy in October 2025 to treat the illness. The news of his deteriorating health comes as Biden's physical and mental state has been under intense scrutiny during his presidency from 2021 to 2025.

Biden, who previously served as vice president under Barack Obama, is the oldest person ever elected as US president. Despite leaving office, he has made occasional public appearances, including the Obama Presidential Library inauguration in Chicago last June. Biden's memoirs are set to be released on November 17, detailing his political career and time in the White House.
