Bilal Ahmad Dar, a schoolteacher's son, has made history as Kashmir's first-ever India Test cricketer. His dedication remained consistent, often waking up early to train in the gym and then practice throughout the day. This relentless work ethic paid off when he made his Ranji Trophy debut for Jammu and Kashmir in 2020, taking five wickets against Jharkhand.

Over the next few seasons, Bilal's performances continued to impress, culminating in a remarkable 60-wicket haul in the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy, helping Jammu and Kashmir win their first title in 67 years. His impressive performances also earned him an 84 million rupee Indian Premier League (IPL) contract with Delhi Capitals.
