Elderly woman set on fire outside KL lottery shop

A 62-year-old woman was severely injured when she was set on fire outside a lottery shop in Kuala Lumpur this morning, police have reported. The victim, who worked as an attendant at the premises, was doused with a substance believed to be petrol before being severely burned, with about 50% of her body affected. Police deputy chief Jasni Zolpa said the woman had no known enemies and had never received any threats beforehand, adding that the motive remains under investigation.
