The Supreme Court has urged disabled former military personnel to submit grievances to the upcoming 8th Pay Commission. While presiding over a two-judge bench, Justice B V Nagarathna expressed optimism that the new commission would be more compassionate due to its leadership by a former female judge, Ranjana Prakash Desai. Nagarathna noted that even judges were anticipating a salary increase during this review cycle.

The 4-day Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam, features a dedicated "Nari Vandan Pavilion" to showcase women entrepreneurs, artisans, and innovators. This event, organized by the Confederation of All India Traders, seeks to connect economic development with women's empowerment and provides a platform for traders to explore global trade opportunities. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to inaugurate the expo.
