Buffalo Bills first-year head coach Joe Brady made a brief father-son moment before the team's first practice in their new $2.1 billion stadium. Fans began to file in while rock music played through the advanced sound system. Brady walked around the sideline holding his 3-year-old son Jordan. The Bills coach, who is 36 years old, is the youngest in the NFL to begin a season as a head coach.

The new stadium, called Highmark Stadium, has a capacity of just over 60,000, which is 12,000 fewer than the team's former home, also called Highmark. Despite the smaller crowd, the vertical configuration of the new stadium brings fans closer to the action and was designed to contain the noise. The loudest cheers were for quarterback Josh Allen, who completed touchdown passes during the practice.

The new stadium features a curved overhang to limit wind effects, and pre-storm wind gusts were barely felt at field level.
