Bills coach Joe Brady enjoys father-son moment before team holds first practice in new stadium

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady utilized his team's debut practice in the new $2.1 billion stadium on Saturday to share a special moment with his 3-year-old son, Jordan. As fans trickled in and an energizing musical backdrop played over the advanced sound system, Brady strolled around the sideline with his son, enjoying the new environment.

Although the coach aimed to replicate a game-day routine, he couldn't resist incorporating family into the proceedings. "Those are the moments that I made sure I tried to take in," Brady stated, acknowledging the fleeting nature of such experiences before the season concludes. After the touching encounter, Brady returned to football duties as the 36-year-old coach, who is the youngest in the NFL, and the Bills team, which moved across the street into their new stadium.

The first practice drew a crowd of at least 30,000, featuring a couple of Josh Allen touchdown passes, a brief downpour, and concluded with a spectacular fireworks show. The new stadium, known as Highmark Stadium, boasts a capacity of over 60,000, which is 12,000 fewer than the team's previous home, Highmark. However, the vertical design of the new stadium brings fans closer to the action and amplifies the noise.

Fans displayed their enthusiasm for Allen, who received loud cheers during his pre-practice stretching period and for his touchdown passes to DJ Moore and Khalil Shakir. The new stadium's design and aesthetics have been praised by place-kicker Tyler Bass, who compared it to a "work of art." Despite a few injuries, the Bills will have ample opportunities to familiarize themselves with the new facility before hosting the Detroit Lions in their regular-season home opener on September 17.
