Bihar govt announces education, exam reforms

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has announced a series of reforms to enhance the state's education system, overhaul examination processes, and prioritize student welfare. A state-level committee has been established to ensure quality education reaches every school, with the goal of transforming them into centers of excellence and improving student learning outcomes. Choudhary stated, "Important decisions have been taken in Bihar to further strengthen, make qualitative, and student-centric the education system."

The Chief Minister also formed a state-level examination reform committee to modernize and streamline the examination process in Bihar. This committee will explore ways to enhance the assessment of students' knowledge, understanding, and analytical abilities using technology and artificial intelligence in board and competitive exams, as well as in class-based evaluations.

Additionally, Choudhary announced the establishment of special collaboration camps to gather suggestions and address concerns from students, ministers, MPs, MLAs, and other stakeholders. These camps will provide a platform for dialogue between the Chief Minister's office, government officials, and the public.

Furthermore, the government will set up Student Welfare Directorates within relevant departments to improve coordination and effectively implement initiatives aimed at supporting students. The Bihar government is committed to delivering quality education, a more efficient examination system, and a brighter future for students.
