Bersatu turns to RoS after Hadi says party automatically out of Perikatan

PETALING JAYA, Aug 9 — Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) is considering filing a report with the Registrar of Societies (RoS) in response to claims that its Perikatan Nasional (PN) membership has automatically expired, following the party's intention to create a new political coalition. Utusan Malaysia cited Bersatu information chief Datuk Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz, who argued that PN, now under PAS control, should adhere to its constitution and principles of good governance instead of serving the interests of any single party.

Aziz maintained that PAS's repeated breaches of PN's constitution and decisions, such as denying member parties' rights, warranted a report to the RoS to halt these actions immediately. He accused the current PN chairman of being a "puppet" with power concentrated in Rusila, with PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang controlling the center and questioning PN decisions.

Hadi contended that Bersatu's PN membership had lapsed after Muhyiddin Yassin announced plans to form a new coalition, as per PN's constitution, which stated that membership ends upon joining another alliance. Bersatu, however, claimed its PN status remained intact, as they had not yet decided on joining another political coalition, including Ikatan Prihatin Rakyat (IPR).
