Belum bincang PRN Melaka, tetapi PN terbuka runding dengan BN

Pengerusi PN Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar has declared that his faction is open to dialogue with Barisan Nasional (BN) regarding the PRN Melaka, encompassing matters of cooperation and exchange of seats. However, as of now, there have been no formal discussions between their sides on the matter. Despite this, Samsuri emphasized the potential for talks to take place given that the date for the PRN has yet to be decided.

The possibility remains open for engagement with BN, including discussions on cooperation and seat exchanges. "Since the date for the Melaka election is still unknown, there is ample room for discussion, either among PN's leadership or together with Muafakat allies. Should they be willing to talk, Allah willing, we are also ready," he concluded after the inauguration of PAS Perak Convention 23 in Taiping, according to Utusan Malaysia.

Furthermore, Samsuri stressed that the discussions should consider greater interests, especially ensuring the formation of a stable government following the elections. Recently, BN's Secretary-General Zahid Hamidi also stated that his party remains open to dialogue regarding the distribution of seats for PRN Melaka, including seat exchanges, provided the total number of contested seats remains unchanged. Previously, he had affirmed that BN would retain all 21 DUN seats won in the 2021 PRN.
