Audrey Flanagan stars in joyful Wisconsin volleyball alumni match

In a joyful exhibition match held at the UW Field House, former Wisconsin volleyball star Audrey Flanagan put on a show against a formidable alumni team featuring 11 current professionals, two Olympians, and four college national champions. The 21-25, 23-25, 25-23, 22-25 loss was a rare occasion where both teams were thoroughly enjoying themselves on and off the court.

Flanagan showcased her skills by finishing with 17 kills and a .316 hitting percentage, with a standout performance in the third set where she recorded nine kills. Former UW outside-hitting great Sarah Franklin praised Flanagan's touch and ability to stay composed under pressure. The current Badgers' back row also defended well, holding the alumni to a .218 hitting percentage.

Despite missing key players like Jaela Auguste and Halle Thompson, Wisconsin held its own against the experienced alumni team, demonstrating their depth and versatility. The exhibition set a positive tone for the future, with the Badgers eagerly anticipating their upcoming exhibition against Butler on August 14.
