Arizona Cardinals sign former UFL TE Shawn Bowman, LB Eugene Asante

The Arizona Cardinals added two players to their roster on Saturday, filling two vacancies through tryouts. Tight end Shawn Bowman and linebacker Eugene Asante were signed. Bowman stands at 6-4 and weighs 249 pounds, having gone undrafted from Rutgers in 2024. He played in 11 games for the Orlando Storm in the UFL, recording seven catches for 53 yards.

Asante, who is 6 feet tall and 226 pounds, went undrafted from Auburn and played in nine games for the Houston Gamblers in the UFL, tallying 34 total tackles, four for loss, two pass breakups, and two forced fumbles. Neither player is expected to compete for a roster spot, but rather serve as depth for late preseason games.
