Amin Adam calls for stronger dialogue between Majority and Minority

Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, Ranking Member on Parliament’s Finance Committee, has urged for enhanced dialogue and consensus between the Majority and Minority factions of Parliament in the best interests of Ghana. His remarks came after the selection of James Agalga as Majority Leader, with Dr Amin Adam expressing his satisfaction and confidence in Agalga's leadership capabilities.

Dr Amin Adam highlighted Agalga's extensive experience in Parliament and government, which he believes has equipped him for the responsibilities of parliamentary leadership. He praised Agalga's intellectual prowess and debating skills. The Minority, in turn, pledged to continue its role with vigor, particularly in upholding democratic values and representing the citizens. Dr Amin Adam reiterated the importance of the Minority's commitment to defending democracy and advocating for those without a voice.

Despite acknowledging the Minority's stance, Dr Amin Adam emphasized the need for collaboration between the leadership of both sides of the House. He suggested that stronger engagement between Majority and Minority leadership could contribute to consensus-building on matters of national importance within Parliament.
