AINRC to contest polls in T.N., says Lakshminarayanan

The All India N.R. Congress (AINRC) leadership announced on Sunday their intention to contest elections in Tamil Nadu, according to party spokesperson K. Lakshminarayanan. The decision came during the celebration of founder N Rangasamy's birthday on August 4 in Chennai. Lakshminarayanan stated that many Tamil Nadu residents, particularly young individuals inspired by Rangasamy's leadership, have shown interest in contesting elections on behalf of the party.

Tamil Nadu Minister P. Rajavelu expressed surprise at the level of support Rangasamy received in the region. The party also marked the early celebration of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Kamaraj's birthday. Former MLA and Pondy Backward Classes Commission member M. Ilango recalled that Rangasamy and Ilango met Kamaraj in 1974 during the electoral process, both emerging as first-time MLAs together.

Prominent leaders present at the celebrations included V. P. Sivakolundhu, N. S. Jayapal, and Khaliyan Kandaswamy.
