Ab Rauf calls for Melaka political talks to move from social media to negotiating table

Melaka BN chairman Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh has called for political parties to cease public negotiations on social media and instead engage in direct, constructive talks. The state election will be approached under the BN Plus framework, which remains open to any party willing to negotiate and explore ways to forge stronger political cooperation.

Ab Rauf emphasized that political discussions on social media could create unhealthy perceptions and urged parties to communicate directly with party leaders. The BN Melaka party plans to defend its 21 seats held in the previous state election, but no final decisions have been made on seat allocations. Ab Rauf also urged all parties to keep the door open for amicable negotiations, as Melaka's political dynamics should not be determined solely by the parliamentary election results.
