Policemen in Kemaman detained three Myanmar migrants working as construction and cleaning laborers as part of an investigation into sexual exploitation of an intellectually disabled woman, according to deputy police commissioner Mohd Razi Rosli. The three men, aged between 19 and 28, were taken into custody on Friday based on a report from a 20-year-old woman.

Mohd Razi stated that the three suspects were detained on August 8-12 to assist with the investigation. He also mentioned that the investigation is still ongoing under Section 376 of the Penal Code to identify other suspects. Mohd Razi emphasized the need for the victim, who is an intellectually disabled woman, to be given proper consideration during the investigation.

The police received a report on social media platform TikTok around 8:30 PM last night showing a crowd gathering in front of Flat Kampung Enjin Gergaji in connection with the incident. Mohd Razi advised the public not to speculate while the investigation is ongoing.
