Kemaman police chief Mohd Razi Rosli stated that three Myanmar nationals, aged between 19 and 28, were detained to aid the investigation into sexual abuse involving an intellectually disabled woman, according to a report from a 20-year-old woman on Friday.

The three suspects, aged between 19 and 28, were detained between August 8 and 12 to assist the investigation, according to the statement, reported by Bernama. Furthermore, the investigation is ongoing under Section 376 of the Criminal Force Act to identify additional suspects. Mohd Razi stated that the police need to give the victim sufficient time and space to complete the investigation, considering that the woman is an intellectually disabled individual.

In the meantime, they are monitoring the spread of videos on social media platform TikTok around 8:30 pm last Saturday, depicting a crowd gathering in front of Flat Kampung Enjin Gergaji in connection with the incident. Therefore, Mohd Razi advised the public not to speculate while the investigation is ongoing.
