3 Killed in Ukrainian Drone Attack on Belgorod, Russia Says

On Sunday, a Ukrainian drone attack killed three people and injured 25 in Belgorod, Russia claimed. The attack resulted in fires within two apartment buildings, which were eventually put out by emergency services. The damage extended to numerous residential and non-residential structures. The Russian Defense Ministry reported destroying over 150 Ukrainian drones across the European region, including in annexed Crimea, the Black Sea, and the Sea of Azov.

In Novorossiysk, a significant Russian export port on the Black Sea, debris from the drone crash landed on two sites, Mayor Alexander Kravchenko informed. In the Russian region of Bashkortostan, a drone strike hit an under-construction building and a crane in the city of Ufa, according to local emergency services. Russia's Prosecutor General's Office has labeled The Moscow Times as an undesirable organization, targeting its work and risking prosecution for its journalists.

This comes after The Moscow Times was previously labeled as a foreign agent. These actions are seen as attempts to silence independent journalism in Russia. The paper's journalists, however, refuse to be silenced and are appealing for support.
