Ruskin Bond opens up about not marrying: ‘She’s now a grandmother’

He reflected on a girl he pursued in his 30s, who is now a grandmother with multiple children.

Bond concluded that not pursuing marriage was the right choice for him, as he is now content as a writer without any regrets. Psychologist Gurleen Baruah emphasized the importance of making personal decisions based on individual readiness, rather than societal norms or pressures. She advised open communication with family, emphasizing that respecting one's own path doesn't mean disregarding parental guidance.

Baruah suggested discussing both non-negotiables and negotiables in family discussions to foster understanding and harmonious coexistence.
