PAS MP Rayer expressed frustration over the arrest of two men on Tuesday, stating it does not reflect the reformist spirit. The Minister of Home Affairs, Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, and the Inspector-General of Police, Khalid Ismail, have been urged to provide clarification on the two men's arrest, which stemmed from accusations of spreading divisive religious content in a radio broadcast.

Rayer questioned what made the audio controversial and why the public demands answers. He emphasized that airing political commentary should not be criminalized, as political discourse should not be suppressed by fear of backlash. The arrests, involving two men aged 30 and 60, came after a report was filed based on a video clip showing them discussing secular and liberal issues.

Klang North Inspector Ramsay Embol stated they were questioned for spreading hate speech, making statements that could instill public fear and wound someone's religious sentiments. Rayer also urged the police to provide updates on the controversy surrounding Ridhuan Tee Abdullah, involving several provocative Facebook posts, and Shamsulkahar Deli, an MP from Jempol, over statements allegedly linking DAP to an image deemed disrespectful to the Sultan of Selangor.
