Moismane set for second spell as South Africa coach

The Nigerian Citizens Association South Africa has called upon the High-Commissioner-designate to South Africa, Femi Fani-Kayode, to prioritize the welfare and protection of Nigerians residing in the country. The association, which represents Nigerians in South Africa, believes that Fani-Kayode's appointment comes at a critical juncture, necessitating proactive and compassionate leadership to strengthen bilateral relations and address challenges faced by Nigerian nationals.

NICASA President Frank Onyekwelu stated that the former minister's political acumen, diplomatic experience, and understanding of international affairs would benefit Nigerians in South Africa. He also expressed confidence in Fani-Kayode's leadership to foster stronger institutional collaboration and promote unity, security, and the well-being of Nigerians in the country.

NICASA commended the Consul General of Nigeria in Johannesburg, Amb. Ninikanwa Okey-Uche, for her efforts in supporting the Nigerian community. The apex body expressed particular concern over social, economic, and security challenges affecting Nigerians, including issues concerning foreign nationals in certain regions of South Africa.

NICASA anticipates welcoming Fani-Kayode to the country and working closely with his office to promote unity, peace, security, development, and the overall welfare of Nigerians in South Africa.
