Makkah Pact wins wide Islamic and Arab acclaim

The Makkah Joint Defense Agreement, signed by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has garnered widespread admiration both within the Islamic world and among Arab nations. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed pride in the agreement, highlighting its embodiment of unity among the three countries united by faith and strong bonds.

He hoped the pact would shield the region and the world from conflict, bolstering peace and prosperity for future generations. Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari welcomed the pact, calling it a significant development for regional and global security. He praised the agreement for enhancing joint defense capabilities and committing the three nations to a secure future.

Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended the defense capabilities of the three countries and their commitment to regional stability. They viewed the agreement as a strategic partnership that strengthens security and solidarity among Gulf Cooperation Council states. The Palestinian Presidency welcomed the agreement, emphasizing the importance of strengthening collective security and promoting peace in the region.

They hoped the pact would serve as a foundation for Arab and Islamic collective security, protecting the rights of Palestinians and their struggle against Israeli occupation. The Muslim World League warmly welcomed the Makkah Summit for Joint Defense, praising the agreement for its foundation on Islamic solidarity and its role in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity.
