Former US President Joe Biden's prostate cancer has progressed, spreading to his bones and causing him discomfort, according to his son Hunter Biden. In a candid interview with the BBC, Hunter Biden expressed deep concern over his father's deteriorating health. "The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further," Hunter said, visibly emotional during the interview.

"It's very painful and it's very debilitating." Joe Biden, who served as the oldest president, faced considerable criticism for alleged secrecy surrounding his health issues, particularly after his unexpected withdrawal from the 2025 presidential re-election campaign following a contentious debate with his successor, Donald Trump.

The former president disclosed his cancer diagnosis in May 2025, just four months after leaving office. Hunter Biden acknowledged the emotional toll the diagnosis has taken on the family, expressing a desire for his father to be more vocal about his health. Despite the challenges, Hunter emphasized that Joe continues to actively participate in public discourse on matters he deeply cares about.
