OTSU — Omi Jingu shrine in Otsu has launched a summertime illumination event that highlights the shrine’s history, set to run through Aug. 23. Organized by the Biwako Otsu Tourism Association, the event aims to allow visitors to enjoy sightseeing at night while avoiding the heat of daytime.
