'I woke up and I had lost the baby': Miscarriages in Gaza spike amid harsh conditions, UN report finds
Women in Gaza experienced nearly 4,000 miscarriages between January and June this year, according to a UN report that suggests that rate is more than three times higher than in the second half of 2025. Though it's not yet clear exactly what is behind the spike, a doctor in central Gaza says harsh living conditions as well as fear and anxiety are contributing factors.
