Fadhlina hails Nadi Mahir school uniform instalment plan easing parents’ burden, empowering entrepreneurs

Nibong Tebal, August 8 — The National Information Dissemination Centre's (Nadi) Mahir program, which allows parents to purchase school uniforms through an installment plan, is proving to be a boon for families' finances. Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek highlighted that this initiative not only simplifies the acquisition of essential school items but also fosters entrepreneurship and job creation under Nadi's direction.

"As the Member of Parliament for Nibong Tebal, I view this as an outstanding program for the community," she declared to reporters after inaugurating the Madani Kita program today. Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communications (Telecommunications Infrastructure), Mano Verabathran, and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission State Affairs Chief Officer Bukhari Yahya were also in attendance.

The uniforms are crafted by 120 alumni of the Nadi Mahir Jahit program, who received vocational training through Nadi's Pintar Services and have since become prosperous entrepreneurs. Fadhlina elaborated on the various programs under Nadi that have positively impacted the community, such as the Nadi Tuisyen Rakyat, e-sports, skills training, and entrepreneurship initiatives.

More than 42,000 students across the country have participated in the Nadi Tuisyen Rakyat program, with over 73 attendees from Nibong Tebal. The program yielded 65 top performers in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia exams.

Fadhlina emphasized the importance of youth engagement through Nadi E-Sukan, which serves as a platform to discover local talents and enhance confidence and teamwork among young individuals. She also pointed out Nadi's successes in Nibong Tebal, including winning the national Nadi E-Sukan Madani Mobile Legends championship, finishing as runners-up at the Penang state level, and coming in second place in the Penang state Cooking Star contest.

The Nadi program also provides exposure to AI through initiatives like the 1 Nadi 1 Prompt Engineer program, which has already attracted 11 participants in Nibong Tebal.
