‘No one has seen us in same room’: Rahul Gandhi's cheeky AMA response to ‘are you Batman’ question

Recently, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi participated in an ‘Ask me Anything’ (AMA) session on his Instagram stories, engaging with students and Gen Z individuals. The initiative came as a response to a shift in how politicians engage with younger generations, particularly following a student protest at Jantar Mantar that led to the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan as education minister.

During the AMA, Rahul Gandhi received various questions, including the playful query “are you Batman?”. His response was lighthearted, stating, “Let’s just say that no one has ever seen me and Batman in the same room together!” Gandhi accompanied his answer with a video cutting between him and Batman.

Other questions included inquiries about his favorite BJP politician and his opinion on the education system. In response to the latter, Gandhi criticized the current education system as “destroying thinkers” and highlighted that it is “expensive, and oppressive”. He emphasized that student protests nationwide are against the education system and urged for action from all governments, regardless of political affiliation.

Gandhi also shared a photo of himself smiling with Punjabi song ‘Gucci’ playing in the background while responding to a question about his favorite BJP politician, stating, “I definitely like Capt Amrinder Singh. I get along with him, he’s cool,” adding, “Hello Amrinder uncle.” Amrinder Singh is a former Congress politician who served as the chief minister of Punjab and later joined the BJP in 2021.
