MLB Hall of Fame Urged to Induct Giants’ Legendary Broadcast Duo Together

The San Francisco Giants broadcast duo of Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow have been in consideration for the Ford C. Frick Award multiple times throughout their careers, but have never been inducted together. Renowned ESPN sportswriter Buster Olney has urged the MLB Hall of Fame to break from their tradition of not inducting broadcasters together and honor this legendary pair as one.

Olney, along with NBC Sports Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic and The Athletic's Andrew Baggarly, believe that inducting them together would be fitting, as their combined contributions to the game of baseball are unparalleled. The pair have called Giants games since 1994, witnessing the team's three World Series championships between 2010 and 2014.

As they enter their 70s, their time behind the mic is drawing to a close, and this proposal could serve as a "stress test" for the Hall of Fame's strict policy on inducting broadcasters in pairs.
