Meet HYBE's New Girl Group 'TUIDE' With Pre-Debut Video

HYBE has unveiled their latest girl group, TUIDE, under their newly established label ABD. The septet premiered their first performance video, "Meet my GIRLS, TUIDE," which features their pre-debut track, "GRLS," from their upcoming EP, TUNE & PLAY, set to release on August 24 at 2 AM PST/5 AM EST/6 PM KST. The name TUIDE stems from the phrase "Tune the Tide," symbolizing the group's aspiration to "experience the tides of the world and tune them into new forms of joy through music."

Their debut single, "GRLS," is an upbeat dance pop tune that highlights the members' individual performance styles and camaraderie, portraying a youthful and confident image. Each member is given a spotlight in the track, with the catchy chorus: "Meet my girls / Me & My girls." The accompanying music video is vibrant, colorful, and optimistic, focusing on the members' vocals and choreography, which blends hip-hop, house, and soul elements.

TUIDE's members hail from various backgrounds, including South Korea, Japan, the U.S., and the U.K., with ages ranging between 15 to 19 years old. Seohee is the eldest, and Yi Hani is the youngest member (maknae). ABD introduced each member through separate videos and profile photos, detailing their birthdates, debut dates, nationalities, and hobbies.

The label, launched in May and spearheaded by Jiwon No, President of ABD, and creative force Master Professional, aims to revolutionize the K-pop scene with their global breakout act, creating waves across playlists worldwide. TUIDE is slated to debut on August 24 with their EP, TUNE & PLAY.
