Kamu tiada hak tentu kedudukan Bersatu dalam PN, Azmin beritahu Hadi

PAS President Hadi Awang claims he does not have the authority to veto Bersatu's position within Perikatan Nasional (PN), according to Senior Minister Azmin Ali. Azmin asserts that Hadi's assertion that Bersatu's membership in PN dissolves on its own, and contradicts party fusion legislation, is incorrect. He emphasizes that no clause in Perikatan Nasional's charter grants automatic membership to party affiliates; rather, Bersatu's membership can only be confirmed by the Presidential Council under Article 7A of the charter.

As of now, the Presidential Council has not convened to determine Bersatu's membership in PN, thus making Bersatu a valid member of PN, Azmin maintains in his statement.

Previously, Hadi alleged that his coalition partners were automatically expelled from PN without a formal letter or decision from their respective party secretaries, as they announced the formation of a new bloc. Azmin counters this claim, suggesting that Hadi's lack of basic understanding of Perikatan Nasional's charter. Azmin also alleges that the PN chairman and senior secretary are obstructing Bersatu representatives from attending the highest council meeting on July 16, which contradicts Article 7 of the charter and the spirit of cooperative governance.

Azmin asserts that Bersatu will lodge a formal complaint with Malaysia's Registrar of Companies over this serious breach of the charter, and that PN, now dominated by PAS, is no longer upholding charter principles and is behaving undemocratically. According to Azmin, Bersatu will act in accordance with the law and the Federal Charter to uphold principles of fairness and simplicity.
