Hjerto-Dahl joins Hull in 'biggest challenge' yet

Hull City has added Norwegian midfielder Jens Hjerto-Dahl to their ranks from Tromso on a five-year contract, with the undisclosed fee amounting to a significant investment. The 20-year-old is currently the Eliteserien's joint-second top scorer, having netted seven goals in 14 matches so far this season. As an Under-21 international for Norway, Hjerto-Dahl will bring European experience to the Tigers, who have returned to the Premier League this season after competing in Europa League and Conference League qualifying matches.

Expressing his excitement, Hjerto-Dahl stated, "I'm very happy. It's a massive club and I'm really looking forward to playing here." He emphasized that this opportunity represents the most substantial challenge he has encountered, stating, "I needed a challenge and this is the biggest challenge you can get. I think this is the right step and that Hull can help me improve."

The midfielder will bolster Hull's midfield alongside fellow signings Oscar Zambrano and Hidemasa Morita under Sergej Jakirovic's management. His arrival follows the additions of goalkeeper Jack Butland and Konstantinos Tzolakis, along with left-back Matt Targett, completing the summer transfer window moves for the team.
