GMTF seals landmark deal with MDS-Lancet to expand access to quality diagnostic healthcare nationwide

The Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) has officially signed a historic partnership with MDS-Lancet Laboratories Ghana Limited and Quest Medical Imaging. This collaboration aims to improve access to high-quality diagnostic healthcare services across the nation. By combining their expertise, the organizations intend to detect diseases earlier, aiding better clinical decisions and enabling timely, precise diagnosis for patients suffering from chronic and non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

The GMTF's Administrator, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, emphasized that this agreement represents a significant step forward in her organization's strategy to build strong partnerships that bolster healthcare delivery. She reiterated the commitment of all three institutions to enhance healthcare accessibility for Ghanaians.

Speaking at the signing event, Dr Paul Sekyere-Nyantakyi, the CEO of MDS-Lancet Laboratories, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, aligning it with his company's goal of providing high-quality diagnostic services to support improved patient care throughout Ghana. He expressed optimism about the expanded access to advanced testing and the subsequent enhancement of patient care outcomes.

Officials from the three institutions stated that the partnership exemplifies their shared vision to fortify Ghana's healthcare system through innovation, expertise, and strategic collaboration. They highlighted that the initiative extends beyond merely increasing access to diagnostic services; it also seeks to facilitate early disease detection and ensure timely, accurate diagnosis for more effective treatment.
