Gender Minister monitors LEAP enrolment exercise in Savelugu, Kumbungu

Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, has continued her monitoring of the LEAP Beneficiary Enrolment Exercise in the Northern Region. During her working tour, she visited Savelugu Municipality and Kumbungu District, accompanied by members of the Ministry’s Advisory Board. The Minister held courtesy calls on the Chiefs of Savelugu and Kumbungu, recognizing the crucial role traditional authorities play in supporting social protection programs within their communities.

She met with the Municipal Chief Executive for Savelugu and the District Chief Executive for Kumbungu, aiming to strengthen collaboration for the successful implementation of the enrolment exercise. The Minister and her team also visited LEAP enrolment centers, interacting with beneficiaries, prospective applicants, and field officers to assess the progress of the exercise.

She commended the cooperation of traditional authorities, local government officials, and community members, emphasizing the importance of their support in the program's success. Dr Lartey urged all stakeholders to continue working together to ensure vulnerable households are successfully enrolled and receive the support provided under the LEAP program.
