Deep-tech startup Yaanendriya bags ₹15 crore seed round from Piper Serica
The startup is a vendor to BEL; part of the funding to be invested in R&D to develop sensors for satellite and space applications
Yaanendriya, a Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup, has secured ₹15 crore in seed funding from investment firm Piper Serica. The company plans to leverage the capital for commercialising its products, which have already undergone successful pilots with customers, and to bolster its research and development efforts. Vamshi Bharadwaj M V, the founder of Yaanendriya, disclosed that the startup has collaborated with over 20 clients and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army's 515 Army Base Workshop in Bengaluru to supply components and sensors for unmanned vehicles.
The firm is already a supplier to Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL). Moving forward, a portion of the funding will be allocated towards R&D aimed at creating sensors for satellite and space applications. Yaanendriya reported a revenue of ₹48 lakh in the last quarter and anticipates a top line of approximately ₹5.4 crore for the fiscal year 2027 (FY27).
In FY26, the startup focused on establishing market acceptance through pilot projects with multiple customers, targeting segments where its products offered the highest value instead of pursuing rapid growth. The company aims to convert this validation into broader commercial expansion in FY27, with existing customers serving as the foundation for larger engagements, higher-volume orders, and partnerships with prominent industry players.
Currently boasting an order book worth around ₹1.5 crore that remains unexecuted, Yaanendriya, founded in 2023 by Vamshi Bharadwaj M V, Vyshak Y, Vijay H P, and Aravind Thumbur, specializes in inertial measurement units (IMUs), GNSS modules, and wireless I/O systems.
