Dax aktuell: Dax legt vor US-Arbeitsmarktdaten leicht zu

Düsseldorf - The German stock market, represented by the DAX index, shows a calm environment at present, but without any turbulence. The leading index remains at a high level, while investors take a break from record-breaking gains. On Friday morning, the DAX still registered slight gains at 26,288 points, which was 0.6 percent above the previous trading day's close. The DAX closed trading on Thursday virtually unchanged at 26,140 points.

Martin Utschneider, a market analyst at Robomarkets, suggests that the previous trading day's session can be considered constructive, despite the lack of upward momentum. The current price picture indicates that the consolidation at a high level may continue initially. Utschneider emphasizes that there is currently no sign of significant selling pressure or a sustained trend reversal. Consequently, the upward trend remains intact.

However, following the recent rally, the focus of investors will inevitably turn to the seasonal summer weakness, as noted by Frank Sohlleder from Aktivtrades. Historically, the months of August and September on the exchange floor have been challenging periods. Nevertheless, the DAX holding above the 26,000-point mark is a positive sign.
