Cloudflare’s new browser Kitesurf is designed for AI agents to browse the internet

Cloudflare has launched Kitesurf, a cloud-hosted browser created exclusively for AI agents, marking its entry into the AI-browser market. Unlike traditional browsers, Kitesurf discards features like tabs, extensions, and visual rendering, focusing instead on speed, low cost, and efficient content processing within limited context windows.

Running on Cloudflare Workers, it utilizes serverless computing, which significantly reduces computing power requirements for tasks such as taking screenshots or extracting page content compared to traditional browsers that rely on Chromium. The browser's development, spanning just 12 weeks, has already undergone over 215,000 compatibility tests with web platforms, successfully rendering sites like Wikipedia and Hacker News.

However, it currently lacks video playback and support for long authenticated sessions. Available for free during its beta phase through Cloudflare's Browser Run product, Kitesurf can be tested via a public playground at kitesurf.cloudflare.app. The company plans to open-source Kitesurf in the future, allowing customers to deploy and run their own versions.

As AI agents become more capable of tasks like booking flights, filling out forms, and online shopping, they require a faster browsing platform. Cloudflare has provided that with Kitesurf. Additionally, Lenovo may soon introduce the ThinkBook Aeroblade, a new laptop model, based on leaked marketing images labeled as such within the files.

Lastly, Apple has released macOS Tahoe 26.6.1 to patch a Screen Sharing vulnerability, potentially enabling unauthorized authentication on the same network.
