Asus' new monitor software lets you control brightness with your voice, or just let AI do it

Asus has introduced an innovative update to its DisplayWidget Center software, integrating AI-driven capabilities into the traditional monitor management tool. This new version allows users to interact with their Asus monitors using natural language, providing a more personalized experience. The software's AI agents can adjust settings such as brightness, color modes, temperature, and anti-flicker functions on OLED displays.

They can also recommend optimal settings based on the user's usage patterns or even adjust color temperature according to the time of day. For IT administrators, the AI can deploy uniform configurations across an enterprise environment. The update also includes AI-Visual, an AI feature that selects the most suitable visual mode for compatible ROG and TUF Gaming monitors by analyzing on-screen content in real-time.

The AI Assistant feature offers a convenient text and voice interface for adjusting settings, retrieving support documents, and accessing help-related functions. Other non-AI enhancements in the latest software release include the App Tweaker tool, which enables users to customize display experiences for individual applications and games, and additional OLED Care features designed to minimize image burn-in risks on OLED models.

Asus claims that these AI features can significantly benefit gamers, content creators, business users, and traditional desktop users. However, the company acknowledges that some users might feel uncomfortable with this level of software integration, raising concerns about personal privacy.
