App Store Rejection of the Week: Dark Hours

In February, Terry Godier's interactive essay "Phantom Obligation" caught my attention, followed by "The Last Quiet Thing" in March and a post about the App Store's 5-star review system in April. Later, I connected with Godier via iMessage. Yesterday, Godier published a post titled "Browsers Have Standards, the App Store Has Judgment," which contained inaccurate information about an iOS app submission, leading me to retract the original article.

The app in question, originally named "Asterly" and intended for astrology, was rejected by Apple for being astrology content. I had mistakenly believed Godier's claim that the app was astronomy-based and lacked astrological features. The rejection was justified, as the app did contain astrology elements. Despite Godier's gratitude for my attention to the issue, the mistake was mine for trusting his description without proper verification.
