Anwar ‘terima baik’ Nurul Izzah lepas jawatan timbalan presiden PKR

Presiden of the People's Justice Party (PKR), Anwar Ibrahim, expressed gratitude for his daughter Nurul Izzah's decision to relinquish the vice presidency position. Anwar, who also serves as the chairman of Pakatan Harapan (PH), stated that Nurul Izzah remains active within the party despite having external plans, referencing her continued pursuit of further academic studies.

According to Berita Harian, Anwar stated this during a press conference in Alor Gajah. On the previous day, Nurul Izzah reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the party's struggle under Anwar's leadership, even after stepping down from the second-in-command position. He also expressed confidence in Saifuddin Nasution Ismail as the interim president's deputy and Amirudin Shari as the election campaign organizer, believing they would responsibly and diligently fulfill their responsibilities.

Nurul Izzah was selected as the PKR vice president in May of the previous year, succeeding her rival Rafizi Ramli. Rafizi subsequently left the party along with former deputy president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad to launch the Bersatu movement.
