TikTok star Sydney Towle, who shared her cancer journey online, dies aged 26

Sydney Towle, a popular social media personality known for sharing her battle with a rare and aggressive form of cancer, passed away at the age of 26. Her family confirmed her death via a video message on TikTok, stating that she had succumbed to complications from bile duct cancer that had metastasized to other parts of her body.

Towle, who had been in hospice care for several days, was reportedly at peace during her final moments. The influencer, who had amassed a large following on both TikTok and Instagram, had documented her three-year journey with chemotherapy and living with cancer. Her family praised her resilience and her efforts to raise awareness for rare cancers, emphasizing their commitment to carry on her legacy.

Following the news of her death, dozens of followers took to her social media platforms to pay tribute and offer condolences to her loved ones. In May, Towle shared videos from the hospital, revealing that her cancer had progressed to her peritoneum, a condition that her oncologist advised would no longer be treated, recommending end-of-life care.

Despite this, she refused to accept this prognosis and sought a new specialist. Throughout her illness, Towle remained optimistic and expressed gratitude for the simple joys in life, often sharing glimpses of her daily activities, including dancing and modeling. She had recently modeled for The Chemo Club x Post Swim show at Miami Swim Week.

Her final days were marked by continued positivity, as she celebrated life's pleasures and embodied her message of resilience.
