Swift Police Action Saves Orihuela Costa Worker

The swift action of Orihuela Local Police officers saved a worker who suffered a deep cut to his wrist and began losing a significant amount of blood in the Orihuela Costa area. Initially, the injured man attempted to reach the nearest health centre without assistance, but as his condition worsened, he sought help from nearby residents.

Following the emergency report, several Local Police patrols were dispatched to the scene. The officers promptly evaluated the injury and applied a tourniquet to stop the severe bleeding, stabilising the worker while awaiting further medical assistance. Shortly after, a SAMU emergency medical team arrived and took over the worker's care.

The injured individual was subsequently transferred to Torrevieja University Hospital for specialized treatment. Orihuela Local Police expressed their hope for the worker's speedy recovery, emphasizing the critical role of officers in emergency medical situations. They highlighted the importance of officers receiving ongoing training in emergency medical care, life support, and controlling serious bleeding, stating that such preparation enables officers to act swiftly and effectively in potentially life-threatening scenarios where every second counts.
