Russia's oil and gas revenue rises sharply in July
Russia's federal budget revenue from oil and gas rose 18.6% in July 2026 compared with July 2025, reaching 934 million rubles ($11.5 million) — also up 36.6% from June — driven by high oil prices and the payment of a windfall profit tax for the second quarter, The Moscow Times reported on Aug. 5.
