POCSO accused demands pizza, complains about dirty toilets in jail: See how alleged kidnapping followed Instagram chats

A 19-year-old man from Thane, Maharashtra, has been arrested in Nagpur for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl. The accused, identified as Pakhare, is accused of repeatedly assaulting the minor over a period of 30 hours. He reportedly forced her to record a message, during which she was allegedly beaten.

The girl had met Pakhare on Instagram under the pretense of a friend and had shared intimate photographs with him. Pakhare allegedly used these images to blackmail and control the victim. He also withheld her mobile phone's passwords and controlled her phone. The parents of the victim learned about the allegations and traveled to Nagpur on August 4.

The girl had gone missing on August 2, claiming she was meeting a friend. She was later found tied up in a rented house, with multiple injuries, including deep knife wounds on her wrists and neck. The accused was remanded to two days of police custody for questioning. The case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
