Onuachu gets Salah boost at Trabzonspor

Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu has gained the partnership of world football icon Mohamed Salah after the latter completed his move to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor, according to PUNCH Sports Extra. The Egyptian finished his contract with Liverpool, where he made 255 goals in 435 appearances during his nine-year tenure. Trabzonspor officially introduced Salah on Wednesday, with the 34-year-old joining the club ahead of a signing ceremony on Thursday at Papara Park.

The club invited supporters to attend the event in their new-season shirts, eager to witness the history in the making and to support the unforgettable journey together. Onuachu spearheaded Trabzonspor's attack last season, finishing as the joint top scorer in the Super Lig with 22 goals and two assists in 30 appearances. The Super Eagles forward, 32, had been a target for several clubs, including Saudi Arabia, before Trabzonspor managed to retain him.

Onuachu expressed his desire to return permanently to Trabzonspor, feeling a strong connection with the city and its fans. With Salah's arrival, the attacking partnership between the two players is expected to propel Trabzonspor to the Super Lig title, after they finished third last season.
