'Kya Bolti Public': CJP announces nationwide 'pressure campaign' from September

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced it will continue functioning as a public pressure group rather than entering electoral politics for the time being, following a two-day meeting of its core team in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Founder Abijeet Dipke outlined the organisation's focus on building a nationwide citizens' movement surrounding issues such as unemployment, education, transparency, accountability, and institutional reforms.

The CJP will conduct a nationwide "Kya Bolti Public" campaign, enabling representatives across the country to gather people's opinions on the issues they face and their perspectives on the current political and social state. Dipke emphasized that the campaign would help them understand the concerns of the Indian populace.

For now, CJP will operate as a pressure group, as Dipke sees a pressing need for such a group in India. The organisation's efforts will extend beyond education and cover wider concerns such as governance, the judiciary, media, and the Election Commission. Dipke expressed concern over the political system's state, describing it as "very bad."

Unemployment is another key issue CJP plans to address across the nation, as Dipke stated that it is a major problem that they aim to make a nationwide concern. The organisation also plans to work on education reforms, criticizing the rising costs of education and advocating for a change in its present state.

Dipke highlighted young people as a crucial focus of the nationwide campaign, noting that 60% of India's population is below the age of 35. He mentioned that unemployed youth participated in CJP's protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi last month, and the organization had led protests over the NEET paper leak and other alleged examination irregularities. The resignation of former Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, attributed to the students' agitation, was described as a significant achievement by Dipke.

The core committee meeting also addressed expanding CJP's grassroots presence across states, strengthening its organizational network, and preparing for the nationwide youth outreach campaign. Dipke rejected speculation of CJP entering electoral politics, stating that the organization has no immediate plans to become a political party.

Instead, it aims to build a nationwide citizens' movement focused on transparency, accountability, and institutional reforms. He also called for efforts to restore the credibility of the media, another central focus of the organisation's broader campaign.
