Experts to discuss AI‑driven workforce shifts at summit

Business leaders, human resources professionals, and policymakers are gathering in Lagos for the 2026 edition of the Beyond HR Conference to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on workforce dynamics and corporate performance. Organized by HR Talent Hub in partnership with DAC Consulting, the two-day event will take place in October under the theme "Beyond HR: Leadership, Growth and Business Success."

At a pivotal moment for African businesses grappling with digital disruption and economic challenges, the conference aims to help companies adapt to rapid advancements in generative AI, automation, and hybrid working models. Dr. Omotola Dayo-Adedapo, Founder and Lead Consultant of HR Talent Hub, stressed that executives must integrate human capital management with overall business strategy.

She emphasized that organizations can no longer separate people's strategy from business strategy, as technology is rapidly changing how work is done and expectations of employees have evolved.

The conference, which began in 2024, aims to provide practical guidance for sustainable business performance by bridging the gap between HR practices and executive decision-making. Dayo-Adedapo highlighted that the Beyond HR Conference is more than a routine sectoral meeting; it is a platform for meaningful conversations on leadership, business performance, and organizational growth.

This year's edition will feature keynote addresses, executive fireside chats, panel discussions, and networking opportunities focused on workforce transformation, productivity, and long-term organizational growth. The annual HR Excellence Awards, recognizing outstanding leadership and innovation across sectors, will also be held at the conference.
